I have just arrived at Daddy's.
As I am walking up the driveway
Brendon flings himself towards me.
"Hi Aja" he says, beaming.
"Hi darling", I say deliberately avoiding the term 'sweetie'.
"Aja, are you going to call me 'sweetie'? You know,
you are the only person that calls me
'sweetie', and I really like it."
This is a conversation repeated each time I meet my little brother
and this is why he is a sweetie, and why he is my sweetie.
