The Picnic

It was all good,
til the monkeys surrounded us
despite me doing my best to hide the sandwiches and whatnot
in the bag
This one big guy came
stole the drinks
and stared menacingly at us
while the kids screamed frantically
and I just screamed back at them
just as frantic

then it rummaged through my bag
and I thought bloody hell
my ipod, my camera, my keys
then some knight came and saved us
and it was all good again.
