A Bit of Bullshit

I was reading Paulo Coelho’s “Veronika Decides to Die” when I came across a great line
“We’ve [human beings] replaced nearly all of our emotions with fear”
So much truth.

Is that not true?
The fear of telling the truth
Finding out the truth
Taking the plunge
Exposing your emotions
Following your heart
Asking a single question
That could change everything

The fear of risking things for the slightest possibility
Of being happy
The fear of making the wrong choices
And making the ones that ‘could’ be right

Of change
Of progress

Of saying ‘I love you’
Of saying ‘I don’t love you’
Of saying ‘I hate you’
Of commitment
Of freedom
Of trying
Of letting go

So much of what we do
Is governed by the ‘rules’ that society
Has deemed right

Every single move
Governed by what others will think
how it will reflect on you
what other people will say
too much thinking
and too little doing.
too much fear

Hope is like the opposite of fear. Some people fear for the worst in the scenarios you presented but some hope for the better. Its an optimist/pessimist thing. Some people fear so much they won't take a first step to do anything. Some people will try with hope in their hearts just so they'd know for sure whether can or cannot. Fear can lead to regret, which in turn can lead to depression. Sadly it is easier to be persistent with fear than hope.

Some people try and try (hope and hope)eventhough the situation is hopeless. They don't know that they cannot. So which one is sadder hoping too much or fearing too much?

whateverla.
these discussions not good with a hangover.
