Not for those who haven't seen Alexander

Last Saturday I watch Alexander with the girls. If I had been able to do a real-time commentary while watching the flick, this is how it would have gone….

Wait, do I sense a gay vibe here?
Shit did that just happen? Am I imagining it?
Angelina Jolie is effing hot!
Are they really showing that in the movies?
I get the impression I am watching gay soft porn
Wait did they just cut (sensor) that?
Were the men really making out
The great Alexander is bloody gay…
Are they about to have an orgy?
No, Hang-on..he’s Bi.
Will this ever end?
Ever? Save me, somebody please?
Its ending, Thank God …quick let’s run out!

No, seriously, it was that entertaining. GO watch it, someone else has to suffer too.Bloody waste of a good Saturday night.

Behold the bevy of beauties!I've just added a load of pics taken in the past few weeks, and there are more to come....

I've been pretty busy outside the office the past week or so and this is my first full day in!never thought it would thrill me so.If anything, the past few weeks at work have been tiring but fulfillingly so. I do however think its high time to see the girls in KL (I miss them) and thus a trip is being planned for this weekend...so expect me princesses.

Whats new?Nothing much, except with the year end celebrations, work is piling in, the impending purchasing of Xmas presents looms ahead, promising to suck the life out of my purse (which by the was is ridden with bite marks and claw groves thanks to the mutt we know as Johnson).I knew I should have done the bloody Xmas shopping in Bali(cheap cheap cheap)!

The past few months of complications and confusion are finally (hopefully!) dying down, creases being ironed out- lets hope it stays that way.

Today I'm wondering, what is the lifespan of 'closeness' in a friendship?yes friends are always there, but theres a pattern, a phase, where you're close to that one specific friend and then something happens that makes you drift, or things just ebb away.We make mistakes, we evolve, we develop differences, whatever. Still friends, just not as close as you once were. And you move in a circle until you find each other again. Its a pattern I see in most people I know, and I wonder, should we make more of an effort at 'consistent closeness'? hmmm just rambling.....

Bali Boozin

Its thursday,4th of Nov, I am at Changi Airport at 11.40am.En-route to Bali,my transit will be a total of 5 hours. WTF will I do?

number one: buy a notebook and write random thoughts down.

* A bad holiday starts when you discover that you already went through your stack of reading material on the flight over, and you re only half way there!

* It gets worse when you try and use the ATM to withdraw money and find that your card does not work. You do not have a credit card for fear of losing control and running wild with it.

* The total amount of cash you have on you is 400 rm.for the whole trip.

This is what I wrote once I bought my notebook.

1. Will change 100rm into sing Ds.and convincing self that can beg, borrow and steal in Bali and that have no need to shop.

2. A bad day- my reading materials have run out before holiday has started. Must buy magazine...and charge it to company!

3. Changi is ultra convenient! have just found indoor, smoking bar. also free online hubs and local calls(handy if one has friends in the lion city)what more could one ask for?

4. Penang Food Oddysey does not have Char Koay Teow History( FYI- PFO is a book i spent 2 weeks tracking down in penang, checked online found out it was out of print and only 2 copies left in singapore.got someone from singapore to buy and fedex to penang, it arrived day before i left. and now when i finlly open it, while i am in singapore, i find it doesnt have the info that
i need!)

5. Feeling of utter loss without laptop, actually had to buy a bloody notebook(paper).

6. Should take some pics at the STD. Charted Build. in Penang.

7. Am talking to self at bar-supposed to be on hols but work spread out over bar top-at least can smoke and there is alcohol present no?even if it is noon. People starting to think is crazy-animated convo with self.

8. Need to buy a rhyming dictionary.

9. AM really on a roll with this talking to self business, cant seem to stop.

10. LWS is setting in, in a bad way.(Laptop Withdrawal Syndrome) solution? Drink More!

11. I have something against writing on the flipside pages of my notebook(read:back) guess it works out if i flip notebook over in the end and start from the back?

12. Geez...how on earth will I write and not type my Bali piece while I am there?

13. How can I deny am alcoholic?its 1 pm.

14. Am really bored now. hand hurts from writing. flight in 3 hrs.

15. Have taught bartender to make Lychee MArtini to my specs.

16. Am now supervising drink making process. Mmmmm....delicious! am complete utter genius!

17. Have just been to toilet. Definately prefer squatting pans to seats, since i never let cheeks touch seat anyway.

18. Realised pee smelled funky, like asparagus and corned beef. Dehydration!

19. Already feeling buzzed?will i meet friends, family and clients in bali pissed out of my skull?...should i ?hee hee

20. Girl beside me(sporean) wearing wonderful chic flowery vintagey jacket. must make one out of my sari silk.

As you can see I was really bored. After that I staggered from the bar to Oasis, my favorite hangout in Changi, though its a long walk from the main part of Changi, the free massage chairs are almost always free, the place is deserted, there are big screen TVs, internet..etc. Lolled there til flight to Denpasar. I know the airport so well I can be Changi guide and spokesperson!
